The PNW-inspired interior creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, making you feel at home the moment you step through the front door. The open-concept kitchen, dining and living room is ideal for hosting gatherings with friends and family, providing the perfect backdrop for creating lasting memories on your vacation. The kitchen is equipped with new stainless steel appliances, large farmhouse style sink, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, Keurig (with complimentary coffee, tea and sugar) and all the necessary cookware to create delicious home-cooked meals during your stay. There is also a propane BBQ located on the side-deck for all your grilling needs. As you step through the 10-foot double door slider off the living room, you'll find yourself surrounded by stunning greenery and the peaceful serenity of the forest. Sip on a glass of wine or a local craft beer while sitting by the propane fire pit, illuminated by twinkling string lights. Unwind in the cedar barrel sauna, complete with a window that looks out into the forest. For an added thrill, take a dip in the cold-tub, a popular trend known as cryotherapy, to rejuvenate and revitalize your body and mind. Experience ultimate comfort and luxury in our spacious primary bedroom, featuring a king-size memory foam bed with stunning forest views. This room features an en-suite bathroom with dual vanities and a large backlit mirror, walk-in closet, home office space, and a 50" Smart TV loaded with all the popular streaming apps. In the closet you will find a pack & play that can easily be set up in the room for anyone traveling with infants. The second bedroom offers a peaceful retreat with a memory-foam queen bed and serene forest mural. The bunk room is set up to sleep up to 4 guests, with a memory-foam king bed on the bottom bunk, Twin XL top bunk, and a twin trundle that rolls out from under the bed. Guests can find extra pillows and duvet, as well as a variety of kids' toys and books in the closet. A second office space is set up in this room, so multiple zoom calls can be happening at once!

We pride ourselves on being good neighbors and ask that you treat the home and our neighbors as you would your own. By following these guidelines, you will ensure that the home stays in great condition for those who follow and that we uphold our promise to our neighbors. We strictly enforce the following rules: - No smoking or vaping, including the outside areas surrounding the property - No parties - No firearms - No drug use - No fireworks/hazardous materials - Guests are required to follow Sudden Valley Pet Regulations. Dogs are to be under control at all times (i.e. in the house or approved kennel, or on a leash). - No unapproved overnight guests When using the sauna: - No glassware in the sauna - Supervise children at all times - Check with a doctor before use if pregnant, in poor health, or under medical care - Exit immediately if uncomfortable, dizzy, or sleepy. Staying too long in a heated area is capable of causing overheating Any unapproved overnight guests will result in an automatic fine of $500 minimum, with the potential for a higher charge depending on the severity of the violation Guests use the property, including all indoor and outdoor areas, at their own risk. Please exercise caution and supervise children and pets at all times.

The Bellingham Adventure Pad is located in Sudden Valley Gate 13. Downtown Bellingham is a quick 15 minute drive from the home. The Stimpson Family Reserve is the backyard of the Bellingham Adventure Pad, offering over 4 miles of hiking trails through a beautiful forest setting. The forest is largely undisturbed and displays characteristics of an old-growth forest, including Douglas Fir trees over 400 years old, a wide diversity of tree species, snags and decaying logs, and a complex architecture of canopy, understory, shrub layer, and tapestry of the forest floor. Since this is a Nature Reserve, unfortunately no pets are allowed on the trails. Galbraith mountain is a world class mountain destination located within riding distance of the Bellingham Adventure Pad (bike from the front door to the RD4000 - East gate entrance within a minute!). Over 65 miles of singletrack that winds through 3,000 acres overlooking the city and Bellingham Bay. Because of the quantity of trails, the mountain can handle 100’s of hikers, trail runners, horse riders, and bikers during the course of the day without trail users feeling like the trails are busy! Valley Market is the closest grocery store, which is a 5 minute drive. They offer fresh produce, gourmet cheese and meats, organic grocery items, extensive wine and craft beer selection, along with gourmet ice cream, made-to-order deli sandwiches and a hot case full of grab-n-go deli favorites! Enjoy your meal with an espresso drink or a pint of local craft beer available on tap. They can even fill growlers to go!

Guest Access

The entire home will be yours, including the 400 sqft garage! The backyard is completely private and looks out into the breathtaking 600 acres of the Stimpson Family Reserve. You will often see deer wandering by and will be enchanted by the beautiful bird songs in the spring and summer! Guests also have full access to all the amenities the Sudden Valley community has to offer, including: lake access, marina, golf course, dog park, seasonal swimming pool (fee required), gym (fee required), BBQ gazebos, playground, tennis court, baseball diamonds, and multiple green spaces. (all located in Gate 1, a 5 minute drive from the home)

We had a wonderful stay with our family of five and our small pup! The home was clean, cozy, and warm, and the hosts were quick to respond to anything we needed. We enjoyed our Thanksgiving holiday dinner there, and the kitchen had everything required with tools and essentials. They have great parking, comfy beds, and a relaxed atmosphere that made it an ideal place for a family holiday. We’d happily stay again.

My husband and I cannot say enough of great things about this stay! We had the most peaceful time. The home is beautiful designed/decorated and plenty of space. The kitchen is gorgeous and has everything you need to be cooking meals daily. But the major WOW of this home is the view of the forest in the back. It’s absolutely a show stopper and felt like we were living in a fairytale. Within the first 5 minutes of arriving there were deer walking through the yard. Plenty of walking trails to enjoy, even in the rain! Emma the host was super attentive and went above and beyond reaching out to give us heads up or just checking in. We absolutely would love to stay here again!
