Walking distance from the Marina, dog park, and a 18-hole championship golf course open to the public. Minutes from world-class mountain biking and hiking trails. There's no shortage of fun & activities here! Parking for up to 4 vehicles with FREE EV CHARGING! The three-level fully furnished home is designed for comfort and convenience. The main floor is bright and airy with an open-concept living and dining room, fully-equipped gourmet kitchen, and 3 sets of floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors that open up to a private 700sqft wraparound deck offering stunning lake views, outdoor dining and a gas firepit and BBQ. There are two bedrooms on the main floor both with Queen-Size beds and private en-suite bathrooms. The primary bedroom on the lower level features a King bed, a private en-suite, and a desk set up as a dedicated workspace. The lower level family rec room is equipped with a flat-screen TV with all the streaming services, stereo, pool table, wet bar, and a 300 sqft deck through double sliding glass doors. The upper level of the home provides sleeping arrangements for up to 8 guests. The open loft area has a bunk bed, with a twin bed on top and double bed on bottom, and full bathroom that will always be available to guests. There is a 5th Bedroom that includes a double bed + three single beds. Enjoy the convenient location, with Downtown Bellingham just 20 minutes away, the US/Canada border 35 minutes away, Seattle and Vancouver BC Canada 1.5 hours away, and 1.5 hours to Mt. Baker.

Other Details to Note

Kayaks and Paddle Boards are available to guests and can be found on the left side of the house (while facing the lake). Sun Chairs/Loungers are stored under the lower deck. Kids life vests and wetsuits also provided. There is a propane fire pit on the deck for guest use, and a fire pit at Sofield Park that is available for neighborhood/public use. A maximum of 4 vehicles can fit in our designated parking area in front of the house. Any extra vehicles must be parked in Marina with an SVCA pass. We pride ourselves on being good neighbors and ask that you treat the home and our neighbors as you would your own. By following these guidelines, you will ensure that the home stays in great condition for those who follow and that we uphold our promise to our neighbors. We strictly enforce the following rules: - No parking additional vehicles alongside the road (this is prohibited by the HOA). Please keep all vehicles in the driveway / behind the white lines of the road. - No smoking or vaping, including the outside areas surrounding the property - No parties - No firearms - No drug use - No fireworks/hazardous materials - No unapproved overnight guests Any unapproved overnight guests will result in an automatic fine of $500 minimum, with the potential for a higher charge depending on the severity of the violation Dogs ONLY, absolutely NO cats allowed (owner is deathly allergic to cats). Guests are required to follow Sudden Valley Pet Regulations. Dogs are to be under control at all times (i.e. in the house or approved kennel, or on a leash). Guests use the property, including all indoor and outdoor areas, at their own risk. Please exercise caution and supervise children and pets at all times.

Sudden Valley is one of Lake Whatcom’s most exclusive lakefront family neighborhoods, and guests of the Lake View Chalet are just minutes away from everything this beautiful community has to offer. A world-class 18 hole championship golf course, open to the public, with a full service clubhouse and restaurant is minutes away. Also enjoy a dry and wet Marina with launch ramps that guests may access through our community association as well as an Olympic-size swimming pool, playgrounds, BBQ gazebos, baseball diamonds, tennis courts, dog park, and multiple green spaces. A short drive takes you to local grocery markets, restaurants, cafes, banks, gas stations, and a variety of retail services, including a pet store and pet grooming salon. 20 minute drive to Downtown Bellingham. 35 minutes to Canadian boarder.

Beautiful cabin in a wooded area, close to the water. The views from the living room/kitchen are spectacular! The cabin also included tubes, a paddle board, kayaks, and children’s toys for the sand/water. We stayed here as an extended family get together- with 6 kids under 6. Everyone had an amazing time and the space was perfect for our needs. We hope to be back next year!

Emma’s place is a little slice of paradise by the lake, the home was spacious and clean, and the hosts were very responsive and helpful, even offering us a late check-out on our last day! The neighbours were also very friendly. We loved our stay here and would definitely recommend it!

Emma's place was fantastic for our group getaway. The house is spacious with amazing views, and being so close to the water was a huge plus. We had a great time at the cabin and really enjoyed having access to the lake and the blow up kayaks. Everything was clean and comfortable. We'd love to come back!
